Is Kanye West Releasing His Next Album Exclusively On Apple's New Streaming Service?

Hits Daily Double reports that Swish, the album formally know as So Help Me God, might be connected to the upcoming launch of Apple's streaming service

Kanye West is making changes, distancing himself from Tidal, firing Roc Nation and managing himself, with an unofficial assist from the Jenner-Kardashian clan," HDD reports in their Rumor Mill feature. "As for Kanye’s long-delayed album, there’s some chatter that the release will be connected to Apple Music’s launch.

What makes this particularly interesting is that the usually reliable HDD is doubling down on their reporting that West has fired Jay Z's Roc Nation for management, which Ye's reps denied earlier this month.

A few weeks ago, The New York Times reported that under the direction of Jimmy Iovine Apple plans to launch their new streaming service aggressively.

Mr. Iovine has set the tone of the transformation of Apple’s music plans, according to music executives. Mr. Iovine, who reports to Eddy Cue, Apple’s head of software and Internet services, has been leading aggressive talks to secure prominent album releases that will be exclusive to Apple, akin to what Beyoncé did when she released her self-titled album on iTunes in December 2013.

Swish -- or whatever 'Ye's new album will end up being called -- would certainly count as a "prominent" release.
