Keak Da Sneak Got Shot

Veteran Oakland emcee Keak da Sneak was shot Friday night.

There aren't many details on the incident, but All Bay Music Magazine -- who first reported it -- said he's doing OK.

Keak also provided proof of life on his IG page.

Keak is best known as the leader of the Bay Area Hyphy movement, which emerged around the turn of the century.

The 39-year old was responsible for hits like 'Super Hyphy', 'White T-shirt, Blue Jeans, and Nikes', and was a feature on E-40's 'Tell Me When To Go'.

We last heard from Keak in September, when he was arrested for fleeing the police.

To all the fans and everyone that is concerned, We are here to confirm all speculations and to also clear the air on the be half of Keak Da Sneak. Keak was indeed arrested Saturday 9/17 around 1:40am when The police attempted to pull him over for no specific cause. By him having a outstanding warrant , he decided to take them on a run before abandoning his 1988 5.0 Mustang. The chase continued on feet where he was able to hide before getting caught with multiple guns drawn at him. Despite the news reports , This was not his place of residence nor was he trying to attempt to enter into anyone's apartment. Keak is not at all proud of the actions that took place but is very thankful that he was able to walk away from the situation with his life.
