Kendrick Lamar has received a number one chart position and some major praise for his Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers album. Next, he could get an Oscar.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the video for Kendrick's song "We Cry Together" can be considered for an Oscar nomination under the category Best Live Action Short because it played at Los Angeles' Laemmle Royal Theater from June 3 through June 9.
The song and video features actor Taylour Paige of Zola fame, as she and Kendrick play a fighting couple. Paige shared a photo of the video shoot back in May.
