Taylor Swift sold 1.287 million copies of her album 1989 this week. It's the biggest debut since 2002 when Eminem's The Eminem Show moved 1.322 million, and a darn near miracle considering the current music industry climate.

It's Taylor Swift's world now, and everybody else is just living in it. Including Kendrick Lamar, who has his own upcoming album to sell.

Actually, it's Swift who's been quite reverently to Lamar and his critically acclaimed previous effort Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. In fact, to celebrate her amazing sales week, the 24-year old shared a video of her lip-rapping K-Dot's 'Backseat Freestyle.'

Lamar returned the love in an interview with Fadar.

"Shout out to Taylor Swift," K-Dot said upon being reminded of her fandom. "You can't put great music in different genres. I enjoy great music outside of my own music all the time, so I definitely can see where she's coming from when she says that she listens to the record, and it's a great thing for her to acknowledge that and put that good energy out into the world like."

Now to be perfectly clear, Lamar is saying he's great, not Swift. And we would expect nothing less from the man who jumped on 'Control' like he did. But to prove he does dig himself some Taylor, he then began singing her hit single 'Shake It Off.'

Hmmm. Taylor Swift on a K-Dot track? She's ready for it.

Industry experts predicted 1989 would sell 650k first week. You went and bought 1.287 million albums. AND IT'S GOT ME LIKE:
