Kevin Durant is known to be a big Drake supporter, but he's also a huge J. Cole fan.
The NBA star recently tweeted about Cole's new song "cLOUDs" and said he appreciates the Dreamville spitter not rapping about thuggy, street stuff.
"I don’t care bout none of that fake tough guy sh*t," tweeted Durant. "This is mastery."
Someone called him a hypocrite after that since Drake spits thuggy lyrics, despite not being a thug himself.
"But you listen to Drake lol ok," one person wrote to Durant.
"THE GOAT," he replied.
But the back-and-forth wasn't done there.
"He kind of does the same thing too. And I love his music," wrote someone else, bringing up Drake's tough guy lyrics.
"Rappin about protecting everything you’ve earned is not fake tough guy sh*t," Durant shot back.
Someone then accused the future Hall of Famer of needing Drake's permission to praise Cole's new song, as long as he shaded Kendrick in the process, which prompted another response.
"I’m throwing shade at fans like you," wrote Durant. "Been hatin on Cole this whole time. Just listen to the music and sh*t ... I’m dissing all yall fans who can’t listen to Jcole without saying hes 'soft.'"
