Report: Kevin Durant Felt Like He Was In Steph Curry's Shadow

By Daryl Nelson

Kevin Durant felt like he played second fiddle to Steph Curry on The Golden State Warriors, and that's why he decided to play for The Brooklyn Nets

"While Durant’s shocking move to join the Warriors in 2016 quickly paid dividends for him — two straight championships and two Finals MVP awards — there was always the sense that the 10-time All-Star felt like a distant second fiddle to Stephen Curry," wrote Marc Spears of The Undefeated, who said he was given this information by a source.

"Perhaps it would have helped the Warriors’ cause if their fans showed more love and appreciation for Durant’s elite achievements," he added. "All that showed a lack of respect for one of the greatest players to put that uniform on, and the fact that he took all that abuse and still put his career on the line to help them win."

Now that Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan will join Durant in Brooklyn once Durant returns in the 2020-2021 season from his Achilles injury, do you think they'll be the team to beat?
