Kevin Gates Sentenced On Gun Charge

Kevin Gates pled guilty to a charge of felony gun possession today, and was sentenced to 30 months in prison by a Cook County, Illinois judge.

Gates had been transferred to Chicago from Florida in March, the day after completing most of his six month sentence for assaulting a female fan.

We then learned of the outstanding Illinois gun charge from 2013, for which he had failed to appear for.

The Baton Rouge rapper will now be transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Hopefully, he won't have to serve the entire 30 months.
