Lately, there's been a lot of talk of rappers blackballing other rappers, mainly focused around Nicki Minaj's habit of bag stopping.

It looks like Nicki may have learned that from her Young Money bosses.

In a new interview with Sway, Kevin Gates talks about Lil Wayne and Mack Maine threatening to blackball him unless he signed with Young Money

"When Wayne sat across that table with Mack Maine and Wayne says 'man if you not over here, you ain't gon' eat. If you not over here, you know what I'ma do to you if you not over here ... I'm gonna eat you,'" Gates remember.

"That was the scariest moment in my life. I'm making a transition from being in these streets. I hate to even namedrop, I hate to speak on this shit. But that was the scariest moment of my life when you a young artist, you trying to learn the game, you don't really know the game, and you got an artist at the top. The biggest regime in the game. Telling you that if you don't sign over here all or nothin', you ain' going to sign nowhere."

Gates has had a very good career. If it's been hindered at all, it's by his own criminal behavior. So it seems like Weezy never really followed through with that threat.
