In 2021, Kevin Gates revealed that he had been practicing semen retention.

“Another thing I was telling you that’s really healing to your body and it’s going to sound crazy, it’s semen retention, not releasing no semen,” Gates said at the time. “You need to have sex.  You can have sex. Your intention should be to please your partner. And don’t release no semen. If you feel like you're going to release stop.  It's going to heal your central nervous system and everything."

It turns out Gates has been retaining his semen since 2019.

During a stop on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, he spoke on how that's going. [Jump to 34 minutes.]

“I've been on a five semen retention journey. You gonna release every now and then,” he explained. “You gon’ have a wet dream here and there. You don’t beat yourself up about it, because anything in your body that need to come out gon’ naturally come out. I don't watch porn or masturbate.  Even when I’m with a woman, once she get off, I’m done."

Gates added that keeping his semen in makes him smarter and improves his skin.

"It makes a man more cognitive about his life," he said.  "You look at men that release a lot their skin don't glow.  Their skin looks gray."
