Kareem “Biggs” Burke founded Roc-a-Fella records along with the much more famous figures Jay Z and Dame Dash.
Biggs was also involved in the drug trade, and spent a little time in federal prison after pleading guilty in 2012 to drug conspiracy charges.
Biggs's business partner, Manuel Geovanny Rodriguez-Perez (El Monstro), is about to spend a lot of time in federal prison.
In Manhattan federal court yesterday, Monstro plead guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy and admitted to nine murders and ten attempted murders inside of that conspiracy.
Monstro is said to have led a massive marijuana ring between the early 90s and 2011.
Wiretaps of Biggs were used as evidence against Monstro.
The 43-year old faces life in prison.
