Yesterday, Kodak Black was the recipient of what appeared to be a pretty amazing plea deal.
He would avoid prison for a litany of crimes -- including robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent -- and would instead serve a year of house arrest and five years probation.
If he slipped up, he would be looking at 55 years in the pokey.
He hasn't slipped up yet. But this happened, via the Sun Sentinel.
According to a Broward Sheriff’s spokeswoman, it was discovered during the process of releasing Black from the Broward Main Jail in downtown Fort Lauderdale after his court hearing Tuesday that the rapper had two active arrest warrants. “One of them is a no-bond hold,” said Joy Oglesby. “At this point he’s still going to be in jail. He’s not going to be released.”No word on why the warrants weren't discovered earlier or when Black has a chance to clear them.
We also don't know anything about the nature of the warrants expect that one was issued out of St. Lucie County, Fl., and the other out of Florence, SC.
It appears both Black's behavior and the court's record keeping has been pretty sloppy.
