After a rough patch during which the Nets suspended Kyrie Irving for nine games for posting anti-Semitic content things appeared to be going well between the point guard in his team
Despite Kevin Durant's injury, the Nets have been winning, and Irving just made his eighth all-star game.
But things are not going well behind the scenes.
According to Shams Charania, Irving has demanded a trade.
Breaking: Brooklyn Nets All-Star Kyrie Irving has requested a trade, league sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The franchise has been informed that Irving prefers to move on ahead of the Feb. 9 trade deadline – or will leave in free agency in July.

If the Nets don't deal him, Irving says he will leave as a free agent after the season.
Given that the Nets could win a title this year if they keep Kyrie, we suspect they won't move him unless it's for an enormous haul.
