Lil Baby said if it wasn't for Young Thug, he may have never left the hood and started rapping. Apparently, Young Thug noticed Baby before hi come up and thought he was so talented that he paid him to start his career.
"Young Thug, he gave me all the jewels," Baby told XXL. "He literally paid me to leave the neighborhood. [He said], 'Bruh you can rap, you got it. You could be next. You gotta leave the ’hood ... I'ma pay you to come to the studio.'"
The new interview comes shortly after Lil Baby said he used to pay Gunna to write his rhymes. But he later clarified that statement and said the "Drip Too Hard" artist just taught him how to rap.
