Lil Bibby Clears Up Percentage Sting Took For Sample In Juice WRLD's 'Lucid Dreams'

There was some conflicting information about the amount of royalties Sting took from Juice WRLD for the track "Lucid Dreams", which interpolated Sting's hit "Stape Of My Heart" without clearing the sample.

The track's producer Nick Mira threw out 85%, whereas Sting suggested it was less than that.

Lil Bibby, who originally signed Juice, told Vlad it was 85%.  Then he explained how they managed to not clear the sample.

"No, it wasn't cleared.  He put it on YouTube, Bibby said To Vlad.

Vlad then wondered how Interscope, who ultimately signed Juice, let that happen.

"We released the first video ["All Girls Are The Same"] when he wasn't signed yet. When we released that one, people started looking at all this sh*t.  They found "Lucid Dreams", and the numbers going crazy on it.  And we had to rush the video for that one.  So we end up signing and we end up rushing the video for "Lucid Dreams."  So we was in the process of clearing it, but the sh*t was blowing up."

Vlad next pointed out to Bibby that Sting likes "Lucid Dreams" so much he plays it in concert.

"I got to shake Sting down," Bibby laughed.

Bibby then addressed the financial hit Sting's royalty move had on Juice on his team.

"That was huge.  But it's like, my little bro is a machine.  Juice don't' care about money.
