Lil Wayne Explains Why It Can Take Him Seven Weeks To Write Two Lines

Lil Wayne sat down with the I Am Athlete podcast, where he talked about letting Drake and Nicki Minaj shine on his Young Money label. 

In another part of the chat, the "A Milli" performer said he can take an extremely long time to write just a couple of bars.

"When it’s my sh*t, on God, man, I could take seven weeks on two lines," said Wayne. "I’ve said so much that I don’t ever wanna say the same thing. Also, you have to understand your audience. There were certain things I could have said to my audience in '95 that you’re not trying to hear right now. But, you know, I mean, I could figure it out and that’s the beauty of it.”

Wayne is known for writing his bars with extreme speed and has bragged about such speed in the past. But we guess he contains multitudes.
