It's been widely reported that Drake's deal with Cash Money/ Young Money ended with Scorpion.

He could re-sign with just Young Money, which Lil Wayne now owns exclusively as part of the settlement of his big lawsuit against Birdman.

Perhaps the chain Lil Wayne just bought Drake is part of that recruitment process.
