It was appropriate that Craig Sager passed away on a Thursday.
The sideline reporter with the most swag was eulogized throughout TNT's regular Thursday night NBA doubleheader by all of those who knew, loved, and worked with the 65 year old.
From all accounts, Sags was the life of the party, a true professional, and the type of guy nobody ever had a bad word about.
Of course, Sager didn't just have a relationship with the NBA community. He also had an effect on all the fans who've watched him over the years, but had never met him. Count Lil Wayne among those fans.
I never got the chance to meet you, unfortunately, and it's something that I wish I was able to do," Wayne said about Sager. "But again, from over here, from afar, you was always admired, you was always loved, and everything you ever worn was always number one in my book. Today I actually got a little choked up, and it was an emotion that I haven't felt in a long time," he continued. "It showed me how strong respect can be. For someone I've never met."RIP, Craig Sager.
