Based on what Wayne told Skip Bayless, there's no beef between Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar over the Super Bowl.

Jay-Z's Roc Nation picked Kendrick to play the halftime show. The game is in Wayne's hometown of New Orleans, so he and many others felt he should've been selected.

Wayne posted a video about Kendrick getting the gig in September and explained how sad he was.

Kendrick addressed the drama on his GNX song "wacced out murals" and said he disappointed Wayne. But Wayne said that isn't the case.

"I’ve spoken to him and I wished him all the best and told him he better kill it. He gotta kill it," Wayne told Bayless, who read some of the lyrics to "wacced out murals." "That was my first time hearing it. I think he’s a fan like I’m a fan of his music. I think he meant he saw what everyone else saw, he saw how much it meant to me … He didn’t let me down."

"There was no explanation that was needed for that," he continued. "I think I understand those words. His hard work is the reason why he made it there, and obviously that part about letting me down is me just being upset and disappointed about not getting that spot."

Later, Wayne said that he wouldn't be in the country for the Super Bowl so he wouldn't be joining Kendrick on stage.
