People like Drake and Questlove praised Lil Yachty's Let's Start Here album but a Pitchfork writer didn't care for it.

The album is full of psychedelic rock, not rap and the publication gave it a six rating. In short, Pitchfork called Yachty's musical shift contrived.

"The respect Yachty is chasing on Let’s Start Here feels institutional," the review reads. "It’s for the voting committees, for the suits; for Questlove to shout him out as the future, for Ebro to invite him back on his radio show and say My bad, you’re dope. Never mind if you thought Lil Yachty was dope to start with: The goal of this album is to go beyond all expectations and rules for rappers."

Yachty reacted to the review and suggested that Pitchfork is out of touch.

"Lol pitchfork is so washed up," he wrote.

What are your thoughts of Let's Start Here?
