Lil Yachty has been speaking a lot about Hip Hop lately, saying the genre is in a bad place at the moment.

One of his latest talks about the rap industry came during a conversation with Tierra Whack for Rolling Stone.

During that conversation, Yachty made a claim about his musical come-up and said he's always promoted positivity.

"I always realized that I never had the fan base of certain peers because I didn’t glorify negativity," he explained. "I didn’t glorify things that I didn’t stand by."

But those on the Internet disagreed, namely one person who brought up DRAM'S song "Broccoli" that features Yachty.

"The second line of lil yachty’s first billboard top 10 hit is 'n*gga touch my gang we gon turn this sh*t to columbine,'" that person wrote.

The 26-year-old responded and said he was talking about his business moves, not his lyrics.

"I was talking about my business and my brand… and the endorsements I had. Like, not putting guns in the videos and all that type of sh*t," he clarified. "If you listen to my first project… I wasn’t talking about guns and drugs."

Would you say that Yachty's brand is attached to positivity?
