Before Diddy was arrested for sex trafficking and other alleged crimes, the big story in Hip Hop was Jay-Z picking Kendrick Lamar to play the halftime show at Super Bowl LIX.
A lot of people were upset about it, because the game will be played in Wayne's hometown of New Orleans.
But LL Cool J said everyone should get over it because Wayne will be fine.
"Lil Wayne is one of the most talented dudes on the planet, period," said LL on Fat Joe's new STARZ show. "He’s one of our great artists, he’s an unbelievable writer. He’ll have his day. Let Kendrick get that. Let’s keep it moving. I never did the Super Bowl."
Then the New York legend — who has an impressive new album called THE FORCE produced by Q-Tip — told Wayne not to let the Super Bowl snub get him down.
"Wayne comes from a very proud state, Louisiana, and a very proud city, New Orleans," LL explained. "But this is the thing: your time will come, you’ll have your day. You can’t let that break you ... The only reason it makes me laugh is because I know how blessed he is, I know how successful he is. So he don’t need to worry about that moment. It’s just a moment, bro. It’s just one moment. It happens."
Do you think Kendrick will bring Wayne to the Super Bowl stage like Fivio Foreign said?
