Logic's Debut 'Under Pressure' Projected To Tie T.I. In First Week Album Sales

It looks like Logic's debut album Under Pressure will at least tie old hand T.I.'s release Paperwork in first week sales.

According to Hits Double Daily, both albums are projected to sell between 65,000 and 70,000 copies in their first seven days.

This would be a very good opening week for Logic, a Def Jam signee. His heavily autobiographical 12-track set has received good reviews, but Logic just doesn't have the star power and promotional juice of a veteran like T.I.

Under Pressure was, however, boasted by guests Childish Gambino and Big Sean, and by Logic's strong showing during the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher.

As for T.I., the projected numbers would be a substantial drop from his 2012 release Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head, which moved 180,000 copies in its first week.

T.I.'s sliding sales likely have as much do with overall industry decline than it does his star fading.

If the projections hold, Under Pressure and Paperwork would tie for third overall, behind rockers Slipknot and the 73-year old Neil Diamond. As we've said a million times, don't sleep on Neil Diamond. The dude can flow.

Have you had the chance to listen to either Under Pressure or Paperwork. If so, what do you think?
