Stephen Walter, who supplied Mac Miller's drug dealer with the counterfeit oxycodone pills laced with fentanyl which killed Mac, has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of one count of distribution of fentanyl.

In exchange for his guilty plea, the feds dropped Walter's other charge of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

Nevertheless, the guilty plea comes with it a pretty serious punishment.  The maximum sentence is 20 years and federal prosecutors are recommending 17 years with five years of supervised probation.

By pleading guilty, Walter is admitted he knew that the pills he sold to Mac's dealer, James Pettit, were laced with fentanyl.

Mac died in September of 2018 at age 26.
