Man Killed Execution Style After Getting Sentence Commuted By Obama

President Obama commuted the sentences of 1,715 individuals during his presidency, many of who had been sentenced for drug crimes.

Damarlon Thomas was one of them. Obama had recently cut short the 18-year sentence the 31-year old was given 2008 for cocaine trafficking

Last night, the former Saginaw Sunny Side Gang member was shot and killed in a federal halfway house in Saginaw, Michigan.

According to Police Lt. David Kaiser a pair of masked gunmen kicked in the door of the facility baring assault rifles at around 9:40 p.m. One kept on eye on the halfway home's other 23 residents while the other found Thomas and shot him numerous times, including once in the head. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

"One person watched over a group of them while another subject located the victim and executed him," Kaiser told MLive.com. "They were looking for this person."
