ESPN's docuseries The Last Dance, about Michael Jordan and the Bulls, has caused plenty of online chatter since it was released last month.
Steve Kerr getting punched in the face by Jordan was a topic during an episode, and Scottie Pippen's relationship with Jordan and the Bulls was shown. Jordan's agent called Pippen's behavior petty after that episode aired.
In the most recent episode, Jordan talked about his father being murdered in 1993, and the accusation that his heavy gambling had something to do with it. There's been no proof that was the case. And Jordan said that only certain people made that accusation.
“It did hurt, but you had people who were throwing darts that wanted to hurt me anyway,” he explained. “It wasn’t from the people I love or the people that knew me or the people that cared. It was the people that got tired of me being on top.”
18-year-old Daniel Green and 17-year-old Larry Demery, were arrested, charged, and convicted of the murder of James Jordan. The motive was a robbery.
