Migos Say They're The New Outkast

Last year, Twitter had some fun with Migos in the form of sarcastic claims they were better than the Beatles.

When asked about this, the trio didn't seem to realize that the positive comparison to the most legendary musical group of all-time was a joke. Or maybe they did realize it, and by playing dumb they were making their own joke.

Migos addressed the Beatles-thing again in a new interview with the Paper Mag. They continued to either play (or be) dumb, and also added a new comparasion that many Hip Hop fans may consider blasphemous.

"We kind of like the new Outkast," Quavo adds. "They're comparing us to the Beatles. They're comparing us to legendary people. We didn't grow up listening to them but we knew of these people. We just wanted to be in that same name bracket. The people we grew up watching and listening to -- Outkast, Gucci Mane, Hot Boys, Lil Wayne, Master P -- all that type of stuff, we took those styles and made it our own."
In Quavo's defense, his "Migos Flow" is pretty influential these days, and the band's upcoming debut album is generating a bunch of buzz.

YRN: The Album drops on June 16. Given the way Migos have been talking, it better be pretty great.
