There's a new twist to the JAY-Z/NFL partnership drama.
Nine-time Grammy winner Brian Michael Cox has revealed JAY-Z called Jermaine Dupri and advised him not to partner with the NFL on last year's Super Bowl 53 halftime show. As part of JAY's new deal the league, he will advise them on halftime shows. Jump to the 14:30 mark.

“I’m not saying that it can’t turn into some good sh*t. We’re also talking about a guy [JAY-Z] who single-handedly picked up the phone and called Jermaine to tell him not to do it," Cox explained. "When we all had that meeting with the NFL, all that shit was part of the same sh*t.”
