Nas doesn't feel threatened by the new cats with mics.

“I appreciate what’s out there, but there’s no one keeping me up at night,” he told The Financial Times. “I hear a new rap record and think it’s great, but I don’t listen to it the next week.”

The famously competitive 46-year old did give special props to one new school name during the chat: his fellow New Yorker Pop Smoke.

"We were happy to see that young king come up," Nas said of Pop. "He was a breath of fresh air. The drill movement in London, Chicago and New York is really exciting."

Pop's not around anymore to keep Nas up at night.  Do you think that's why he signaled him out for praise?
