Nav has joined the fight between Lil Uzi Vert and his label.
According to Nav, he was supposed to have a Lil Uzi Vert featured track his upcoming album. But he had to cut it because Vert's label Generation Now, which is run by DJ Drama and Don Cannon, wouldn't clear it.
"I know yall wanted 'Habits' on the album. I had an open verse for the longest, and Uzi blessed us with one," Nav said. "Unfortunately, DJ Drama and Don Cannon won't clear his verse legally. I used to be a big fan of them since Gangsta Grillz mixtapes and thought they support new artists. I guess it's all about the $$$$ for them now!"
Vert has been fighting with Cannon and Drama for some time now over label issues. Earlier this year, he even said he was "retired" due to label frustration.
We guess he's not really retired if he's trying to do verses for Nav. (Who also claimed retirement earlier this year, but is obviously still working.)
Here's Cannon's reaction to Nav's accusation:
