Baton Rouge rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again (aka NBA YoungBoy) was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder after a drive-by shooting last November in his hometown.
He caught a big break in May when the attempted murder charges were dismissed and he pled guilty to just one count of aggravated assault.
The breaks kept coming yesterday with his sentencing on that charge.
The 17-year old was given a suspended sentence of ten years, three years of probation, 250 hours of community service and a $5000 dollar fine.
He also got a lecture from Judge Bonnie Jackson.
"I wasn't very happy with the circumstances of your case, not at all," Jackson told Youngboy during his sentencing. I'm sorry," Youngboy replied. "It wasn't supposed to go that way."When Youngboy told the Jackson that at least he didn't kill anybody, he got a stern reply.
"But you could have," the judge shot back. "It wasn't for lack of trying. You weren't a good shot."[Related: Meek Mill tells NBA Youngboy he will die if he stays in Baton Rogue.]
Do you think YoungBoy will make the most of his second chance?
