Nelly Explains Why MTV Cribs Almost Did Him In

Nelly appeared on MTV Cribs when Country Grammar was tearing up the charts.

The episode was very popular with viewers.

But it didn't turn out well for Nelly.

During a stop on the Cruz Show, Nelly explained how putting his St. Louis lakefront home on MTV became a security risk.

There was no gate on the house, and people were pulling their boats up to the dock. My mom is out by the pool, muthaf**ker pull a boat up on the dock, walk up the dock,” he explained. “We moved. We got gates and s**t after that. That was like in ’01, ’02? Some shit like that. And people were just, yeah, man, they were coming by. But I thought I was going to be there forever."
