Nick Cannon Announces Death Of Son

Nick Cannon's five-month-old son Zen died Sunday.

Nick announced his youngest child's passing on his talk show today.

Nick and Zen's mom Alyssa Scott had noticed issues with the boy's head and breathing.  They learned he had a cancerous tumor.  His health took a turn for the worst over the Thanksgiving holiday and he didn't make it.

“The tumor began to grow a lot faster,” he explained. “This weekend I made a valiant effort to spend the most quality time with Zen. … We woke up on Sunday and I was like, ‘I feel like I want to go to the water, be close to the ocean.’ … Holding my son for the last time, it was a beautiful setting.”

Cannon has six other children.
