Nicki Minaj Says Sexism Prevents Her From Getting Props As Top Emcee

Nicki Minaj is certainly one of the biggest rappers in the world right now.  But she feels like she doesn't get the proper credit.

Yesterday, the Young Money rhymer took to Twitter and said she still experiences a lot of sexism in the music industry and because she's a woman,  doesn't get props for being a skilled lyricist.

She mentioned MCs like Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole and said people collaborate with them because they want to but choose to work with her because they're forced.

Nicki then pulled up an old tweet from Kendrick to support her point about the sexism she encounters.

Do you think Nicki has a point? If a male rapper accomplished all that she has and dropped as many tight verses, do you think he'd be given way more props and make more best-rappers-lists?

Some folks on Twitter agreed with Nicki.
