Nivea Hasn't Been Paid For "Carter V" Yet

Nivea is featured on Tha Carter V cut "Dope New Gospel".

Like with much of the album, the track was recorded some time ago.

Nivea -- who has a son with Lil Wayne -- explained how she heard her vocals were going to be on his long-awaited project.

"He sent it to me. He said 'I'm about to send you some records,' and he sent that and I wrote the hook and sent it back and he said 'I love it!' but I hadn't heard nothing about it since until, like, a month ago. He said 'You're on Tha Carter V, I'm using the song.' I'm like 'What," she said on The Breakfast Club.

Carter V's a big hit, but Nivea so far hasn't benefited from it financially.

"Not yet. I'm waitin' on that check," she said when asked if she's been paid yet.

That may just be because the royalties haven't kicked in. However, you gotta be a little worried when you're dealing with somebody who once went by "Birdman Jr."

Although perhaps in her case it will just go on his child support tab.
