Offset is featured on YFN Lucci's song "Boss Life," and the Migos member is receiving backlash for one of his lyrics. The cut was actually released last month, but the controversy didn't start until the video dropped a few days ago.
"Pinky ring crystal clear / 40k spent on a private Lear / 60k solitaire / I cannot vibe with queers," he rhymes.
This isn't the first time a Migos member has angered the LGBTQ community. In February of last year, the group caused a stir when they questioned why people would still support ILoveMakonnen after he came out as gay.
Eventually, Migos clarified their statements, which is something Offset just did for the"Boss Life" lyric by posting the definition of queer. Apparently, he didn't use the word to describe a gay person.
Do you think Offset should apologize or should an artist be able to say whatever he wants no matter who it offends? You can see some of the social media reactions below.
“I do not vibe with Queers” is such an ugly and unnecessary line. He won’t be here for too long, his bars are elementary and he ugly. And I’m going to catch heat for this but the fact that Cardi B is marrying this man shows where she stands too. Idc. https://t.co/nlAFR56EQq

The fake ass Offset outrage is so annoying. Rappers talk about killing people, fucking people’s mom and disrespecting women. But now y’all mad about a queer comment. GTFOH

Offset has proven to be homophobic and y’all have given him a chance to prosper in music but Azealia Banks has apologized for all her wrongs and y’all don’t want to give her a chance. No one should ever tell me black women are treated equally as men
