Offset's Mom Weighs In On Why Takeoff Wasn't At The AMAs Last Night

Takeoff wasn't on "Bad & Boujee". He wasn't at the VMA's earlier this year, and he wasn't at the AMA's last night when Migos won for Favorite Duo Or Group, leaving Quavo and Offset to accept the award.

Offset's mom Latabia Woodward explained that Takeoff was absent because he's working on his solo album, which drops after Quavo's (which drops tomorrow night.)

"It’s still 3 of them. Take is working on his solo album which releases soon after Quavo’s. Each of them are releasing solo projects,” Woodward said on IG in response to a fan who wondered if the trio was still together.

But there might be more to it. Takeoff is known as the "quiet" Migo, and he shuns large gatherings. 

“He likes to work and mind his business. He doesn’t like to be involved in a lot of things, he just likes to make good music for the people," is how Quavo described his nephew in a recent interview.
