R. Kelly's been pretty quiet about the rumors he was running a sex cult with young women in his Chicago and Atlanta homes.. But now he's speaking out and says the stories were made up by Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage, the parents of Joycelyn Savage.
Joycelyn is one of the women who's been accused of being in the sex cult, although she's always denied it. She was also recently spotted on a shopping date with Kelly during which they looked like a normal couple.
According to Kelly, Timothy is upset because he tried to get the R&B star to help him with his daughter and other relative's singing careers, but failed. So Kelly says Timothy started the sex cult stories just to get back at him. He also says the angry dad demanded cash.
On top of that, Kelly claims that Joycelyn's mother Jonjelyn is angry because he didn't choose her dresses for his backup dancers on tour. Jonjelyn's been trying to launch a clothing boutique and wanted help.
The Chicago singer also says Jonjelyn visited his home, so her claims that her daughter is being held against her will don't make sense.
Kelly believes that all of the backlash against him, including the #MuteRKelly campaign, comes from people who've been duped by Timothy and his wife.
Two other women, Kitti Jones and Asante McGree, recently spoke out about Kelly's abusive and controlling ways.
