The YG smash hit track 'My Nigga' helped to solidify Rich Homie Quan's reputation as a feature beast.
Speaking to Vlad TV, RHQ addressed that awkward moment when you have a hit song with the n-word in it, and then white people start singing it
But it's not so awkward, according to Quan, who gave folks of any color a pass to say "nigga' when one of his song's plays.
"I feel good man," he said when asked about white people singing along to the uncensored version of 'My Nigga.' "Because it's that type of track, it's what we wanted to do, crossover music ... It's good man, you make music so people recite it. That's what they are doing, reciting a song."Using that as a jumping off point, the interviewer asked ATLer Quan if he thought there was more racism in the South, now that he'd traveled around the country. Quan said he hasn't found this, arguing it's not like the bad old days anymore, and Southerners of all races are "very nice now."
"I've seen very little racism since I've been living," the 25-year old added.
Do you agree with RHQ on the N-word and on the South?
