Rick Ross' label situation is starting to get complicated. Last year, he gave us two albums under Def Jam, which seemed like his way of finishing up his contract. However, he's still listed as an artist on Def Jam's website. Maybe they're just waiting to update it.
Additionally, The Black Dollar mixtape had no involvement from the label. But the Twitter account of Def Jam still retweets his new music.
To further muddy the waters, Ross just twitter posted a photo of him posing with Epic execs L.A. Reid and Breyon Prescott and the hashtag #EpicRecords. Is this a clue as to where Ross will be headed? Is it a power move to get Def Jam to offer up more after their contract ends?
The whole situation is confusing. But most signs point to Ross still being on Def Jam. If so, this the Bawse plotting his next move -- or maybe just a friendly dinner.
