In a new interview with Vlad TV, Royce da 5'9" discussed his Detroit homie Eminem.
During the chat, Vlad recalled a very early show Eminem did in San Fransisco in which Shady jumped into the crowd to square up against an audience member who was giving him problems.
Royce was Shady's hype man during that time period, and he explained why such an occurrence wasn't unusual.
"Real, real short fuse," Royce said of Eminem. "But he was carrying around a lot too ... It must have been really hard to be that good. And then to be a white kid that's part of a predominately black culture and people kind of hold that against you. If you think about it, it's a very prejudiced genre ... He come up at a time it was real hard, it was like a lot against him. He a real dude. It didn't take nothing for him to go upside your head. I'm seen him do that to people ... It was nothing to go out in the crowd and get into a fight."In the interview, Royce also talks about the origins of unusual name and his rough period with Eminem and D12.
