RZA Says Azealia Banks Reminds Him Of ODB In New Interview

Do you remember when Azealia Banks got into an altercation with the actor Russell Crowe, and RZA was caught in the middle of it?

Afterward, the Wu-Tang legend distanced himself from Azealia and hasn't spoken much about the incident. But he recently stopped by Hot 97  and said the Harlem rapper reminded him of ODB, and that's why he chose her for his movie Love Beats Rhymes due out on Dec. 1

"Watching the interview you guys had with her, for me, it reminded me of ODB," said RZA. "The candidness of her speaking, the passion for how she felt about black culture, and how she felt it was kind of being culture vultured. That's something Dirty would always say. He always had that feeling ... That kind of energy she was expressing. I was actually impressed by it, and I had a little nostalgic feeling for ODB."
