Sean Paul Is Very Sore At Drake (& Others) For Stealing Dancehall

Drake has aligned himself with Jamaican culture, right down to his use of an island patois.

But Kingston-born Dancehall star Sean Paul isn't down with Drizzy (and others) putting out dancehall music, which Paul thinks they don't properly respect and understand.

“It is a sore point when people like Drake or Bieber or other artists come and do dancehall-orientated music but don’t credit where dancehall came from and they don’t necessarily understand it,” Paul told the Guardian. “A lot of people get upset, they get sour. And I know artists back in Jamaica that don’t like Major Lazer because they think they do the same thing that Drake and Kanye did–they take and take and don’t credit.”
Earlier this year, Mr. Vegas made a similar argument, labeling Drake a Dancehall "fake."

Do they have a point?
