Skinnyfromthe9 was handcuffed in Hollywood earlier this week, but the cops let him go.

The New Jersey rapper — who's been in the headlines for being punched, robbed and chased in recent months — was pulled over for illegal tinted windows. The car also didn't have front plates on it, and there was weed found out in the open. Weed is legal in California, but it has to be in a sealed container or kept in the trunk.

Police asked Skinny for his identification but he didn't have it. The rapper told the cops he was on probation and given the okay to be in Los Angeles. He and his people were let go with a warning after cops checked it all out and confirmed his story.
