Skip Bayless is friends with Lil Wayne and the two have been known to exchange text messages. He once even thanked the Funeral creator for helping his best friend's son during his cancer battle.
Bayless weighed in on the San Francisco 49ers losing the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs last week but still partying with Wayne and DaBaby for a performance afterwards.
It's been reported the 49ers paid the rappers six figures to perform, which was supposed to be a celebration after they won the Super Bowl. Bayless suggested the team should have cancelled the performance after losing, and the TV host said that Wayne texted him about that night.
“The 49ers clearly had a ‘let’s not worry about it too much’ attitude about the game,'” Bayless said Wayne told him through text. “They truly believe they’ll be back next year. The confidence, it was scary. I also got to speak to Kyle [Shanahan] one-on-one and you could see he wasn’t hurt or upset, he was mad as hell.”
Do you think the 49ers should've cancelled the performance or was it okay to party it up after losing?
