Smokepurpp Responds to Poor Sales of His 'Florida Jit' Album

In Hip Hop, three years is more like 20 years, and career can go from hot to lukewarm within that time.

Just ask Smokepurpp. In 2017, along with Lil Pump, he was one of the biggest Soundcloud rappers. But Purpp's latest album Florida Jit only sold 5,000 units in its opening week.

Someone mentioned the low sales number in the comments of an Instagram post that Purrp shared on Thursday. In a now-deleted comment he explained he doesn't care because he's still rich. He also announced that new music is coming.

Why do you think Purpp had such low sales numbers this go-around?
