So It Looks Like Will Ferrell Could Be Playing Kanye West In A 'Ye Biopic

Kanye West wants to make a Kanye West biopic at the ripe old age of 39.

That sounds completely ridicolous. And it is. But in a potentially good way.

You see, 'Ye wants Will Ferrell to star in the movie ... as 'Ye.

”To me, Will Ferrell is royalty. He is one of my personal gods. I would like Will Ferrell to play me in 'The Kanye West Story'. Can you make that happen?" West wonders in October’s issue of W Magazine.

Now the Daily Star reports that Kanye is in talks with Ferrell and director Adam McKay (Step Brothers, Anchorman) to make this reality.

"He has been thinking about this for a long, long time and he has been trading ideas with Will," their source says. "Rather than take himself too seriously, he feels it has to be a comedy and not a preachy film."

Ferrell has made his name playing goofy characters with no self-awareness.

Does that make him the perfect 'Ye?

And what does it say about West that he recognizes this?
