Soulja Boy said the #SouljaBoyChallenge made him upset.
In 2016, during an interview with VladTV, Soulja told a story about how he had to shoot some people who broke into his house, and it was so wild that many people thought it was either exaggerated or a straight up lie.
Then the challenge came, and people made up their own crazy stories, with folks like Mike Epps, DC Young Fly and Joe Budden joining in.
"When the #SouljaBoyChallenge became a thing, I was mad and shit," Soulja told Adam22. "Because they took a serious situation and turned it into a joke. I almost lost my life and shit, and y'all niggas playing like it's funny and shit. It's nothing funny about that shit ... But now I can look back and laugh at it 'cause it was funny."
But even though Soulja could eventually laugh about the challenge, he's still baffled why it started in the first place.
"I'm like, damn, y'all really think this is funny?" he asked. "What's so funny about it? Niggas tried to kill me, bro. While are y'all laughing? Why is this a challenge? There's no challenge."
To this day, do you think Soulja was lying about the gun fight? You can see him talk about the challenge below at the 40:20 mark.
