Stephen Jackson Rips NBA Players For Making Gangsta Rap After Cade Cunningham Snippet

Stephen Jackson has joined the list of athletes who have chided their colleagues for acting street when they are not street.

In Captain Jack's case, he's targeting NBA players who dabble in gangsta rap.

“This is my question to the world and all you youngsters in the NBA.  Shooting at somebody is not a good feeling. Getting shot at is not a good feeling. So why y’all wait til y’all get money and wanna start rapping about shooting and shooting down people when y'all ain't come from that.  None of y'all came from that. Y'all wanna rap about all these drugs you didn't grow up doing.  Like, when did this sh*t become cool? I know that rappers like Marquis Daniels and Baron Davis, they rapped about sh*t they really been through.  No gas.  Why y'all good kids raised by your momma and daddy wanna rap about shooting people and shooting guns?"  When y'all know you know nothing about that.  Make your money and rap about some sh*t you know about. That’s crazy.”

While Jackson didn't name any names, Detroit's young star-in-the-making Cade Cunningham dropped this violent snippet yesterday.

Yeah man Cade Cunningham from Mt. Verde, the guy who was on the road playing AAU ball for most of his summers, the guy who was raised in a 2 parent household… rapping about opps and shooting shit. This has to be the last straw, like seriously bro why not rap like Dame.
