Suge Knight has signed over his life rights to Ray J, trusting his long-time friend to make business decisions that could earn Suge and his family money as he serves his 28-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter.

Sources tell TMZ Suge wants Ray J to be his proxy on the outside because he admires his business acumen and his ability to choose the right projects for film, TV, and books.

A Suge Knight and a Death Row documentaries are in development and there have been discussions on bringing back Death Row as a label.

In addition to hitting it first and profiting greatly off of the video, Ray J is involved in the weed and e-scooter industry.

Suge could be home in as few as ten years, taking into account time served and California's overcrowded prisons.

Still, he's a 54-year-old who's been in poor health, so he knows he may never be able to properly handle his affairs.

Now he has Ray J to do that.
