T.I. hooked up with Columbia Records in 2013 after 10 years at Atlantic.

He released one alum on the label, Paperwork, which is the worst selling of his long career.

In an interview with Hits Daily Double, T.I. explained that he is no longer with Columbia.

"Having just exited my deal at Columbia, I was a rogue artist, busting creativity, just waiting to put music in the marketplace," he said, using his patented Tip speak. "So while I’m sorting out my next situation, I’m blessed enough to be able to control my destiny and put music out as quickly as I want to, and was able to release a TIP album, which I had wanted to do for a long time."
Earlier this week, there was drama between T.I. and his protegee Iggy Azalea. Tip said during a radio interview that he was done working with the Australian import. But he took it back once Iggy tweeted that they actual were still working together.

Whether that confusion has anything to do with his own label status is unknown. But there does seem to be some turmoil in Tip land these days.
